What You'll Do:

* Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of teacher education

* Provides instruction in business office systems specialist and individual assistance

* Assesses educational needs of inmates

* Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training

* Provides instruction and individual assistance

* Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators

* Maintains discipline and/or security

* Counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.

* Attends meetings as required

* Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)

* Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed

* Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials.

* Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development Performs other duties as assigned

Current Teacher Certificate appropriate for basic business, bookkeeping or comprehensive business & grade level to be assigned;
Teacher 1, 71731, must also have baccalaureate degree or less;
