Development Resident Engineer – TL – Dublin, OH

The Network Engineer – Telematics Validation will construct and execute infotainment/telematics function validation plans and perform testing. The role includes verifying the implementation of requirements and change lists for regular and irregular navigation software releases (including map database), evaluating both functionality and performance, and overseeing software quality through validation plans to detect software errors and assess the full software stack. Validation plans and policies are established according to vehicle release and main event schedules, and results are reported following issue‑management standards.

The engineer supports local client events such as audits and integrated validations, manages raised issues, and collaborates with internal teams to improve overall system performance.

• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create test reports.
• Understand system and subsystem specifications and customer validation feature requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies with the internal core development team.
• Communicate effectively with software design and validation teams to enhance system performance.
• Prepare technical evaluations and proposals for engineering change requests.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer regarding design definition.
• Lead project management activities and review with customers.
• Report to management on resolution of test issues.
• Work flexible hours and maintain high attention to detail, self‑motivation, and responsibility.
• Possess good driving skills and be willing to travel domestically or internationally for testing, field issues, or conferences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Geographic Information Science, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience as a software validation engineer.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, development process, and software test strategy under ISO, IEC, IEEE 29119 standards.
