Underwriter/Real Estate Quality Control Analyst
Location:
Marysville, OH
This position provides quality control (QC) and audit support for the Real Estate department. The role focuses on ensuring all real estate transactions and processes comply with Freddie Mac and other secondary market, investor, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Pre- and Post-Closing Audits (60%):
Conducts audits before and after real estate closings to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Freddie Mac standards. - Additional QC and Audit Support (20%):
Performs other assigned quality control and audit activities, ensuring audit findings and responses are thorough, accurate, and submitted on time. - Risk Identification & Escalation (10%):
Helps identify operational risks and promptly escalates issues to management to support proactive risk management. - Investor, Auditor & Regulator Support (10%):
Works closely with the Real Estate Manager to respond to inquiries from investors, auditors, and regulators.
- High School Diploma required
- Four-year college degree is desired
- Three years’ experience underwriting real estate loans required
- Prior working experience with Freddie Mac
- Working knowledge of State and Federal lending regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
