Collections Supervisor

Job Purpose

To support the Collections Manager and engage members in communication to resolve outstanding delinquent accounts and minimize losses to Honda FCU and its members while maintaining a high level of member service and professionalism when dealing with difficult and sensitive situations.

• Loan loss prevention and recovery
• Specialty collection tasks: bankruptcy, foreclosure, modifications, repossession, fraud reviews/filings, regulation response/strategy
• Review and update credit bureaus, mobile deposits, returned checks, deposit fraud, and Service Members Civil Relief Act
• Writing accurate and concise notes and documentation in appropriate collection system
• Ongoing education and training for self and department training/cross‑training
• Assist department manager with reports, projects, software/system administration and team updates
• Oversee department daily job duties and assign and review completed work

• High school diploma or general education degree
• Two years’ experience in a credit union or collections environment
• Working knowledge of state and federal collection laws and procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Reasoning ability to solve problems
• Member service and communication skills
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to train, support, and motivate teams in a one‑on‑one or group setting
