Responsibilities
- Prepares monthly financial statements for Memorial Hospital, Health Partners, Memorial Health Foundation , Memorial Medical Group, and Memorial Ohio Properties; prepares or reviews other financial reports as required; works with other departments to research budget variances and answer questions regarding responsibility reports; system level budget coordinator utilizing Workday/Adaptive Planning.
- Supervises and directs employees and activities of the Accounting Department and payroll function for the system in partnership with the Accounting Manager; coordinates interaction between accounting and other departments; trains employees to handle additional responsibilities and identifies opportunities to improve departmental operations.
- Responsible for leadership and guidance related to bi-weekly productivity reporting for the system through the labor management coordinator.
- Prepares, schedules, analyzes and serves as Finance & accounting lead for the annual financial audit; completes special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO); evaluates existing accounting procedures and internal controls, implementing new procedures as required.
- Analyzes and forecasts cash flow; assists CFO and 3rd parties in preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting with two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in public accounting or health care accounting, or equivalent;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
