2nd Shift Wood Worker
As a Truss Builder, you operate production line equipment, assemble large wooden trusses from detailed production diagrams, finish building materials to specification, and inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Operate production line equipment safely and efficiently to build wooden trusses.
- Read and interpret production diagrams to assemble trusses according to exact specifications.
- Use hand tools and tape measures to cut, position, and secure lumber accurately.
- Perform woodworking tasks such as cutting, sanding, framing, and finishing materials.
- Inspect finished trusses and building materials to verify quality, measurements, and structural integrity.
- Work collaboratively in group settings to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
- At least 1 year of woodworking experience.
- At least 1 year of experience using hand tools.
- At least 1 year of experience using a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to read and follow production diagrams and basic construction plans.
- Basic construction and framing knowledge.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in woodworking is highly beneficial.
- Experience in construction, production, framing, sanding, or similar hands-on roles.
- Comfort working with wood and related materials in a manufacturing setting.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a large woodworking manufacturing shop where you work in groups to build trusses. The environment is production-focused, with active use of woodworking tools and equipment throughout the day. You can wear a t-shirt and shorts, but must wear steel-toe footwear and protective eyewear for safety. The position offers one shift: 2nd Shift 4pm-2am M-F, extra OT is available on Saturday and Sunday if you want it.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
