Job PurposeTorque Equipment Staff will be responsible for selecting, implementing, programming, and maintaining Torque equipment within Assembly. Studies Torque equipment performance and reliability and makes any needed changes to tools and parameters to meet department standards. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for Torque equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Identifies torque issues, establishes containment, developing and implementing countermeasures with speed.
Key Accountabilities- Understanding of basic Global Automated Line Control systems (GALC), Pneumatic tools, battery tools & production related tooling to perform any line critical repairs or adjustments to avoid downtime or quality outflow.
- Respond to production management regarding tooling concerns or questions and develop countermeasures for any issues.
- Support Potential Problem Analysis(PPA) projects during large scale repairs during production in order to maintain quality and delivery
- Adjust tooling parameters and confirm torque values are within spec.
- Provide calibration management support of Assembly tools, torque wrenches, etc.
- Help support training on new projects and during New Model trial events
- HS/GED with 6 years relevant Torque experience
- Or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field
- 0-6 years’ experience based on education
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of Assembly Mfg. environment
- General troubleshooting skills as it relates to Torque/DC Tools
- Project Management Skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to communicate clearly to multiple layers of management
- Manufacturing environment where able to physically perform jobs on the assembly line. (Lifting >10lbs, walking/standing 8 hrs/day, etc.)
- 2nd Shift (4:30PM ~ 1:00AM)
- Flexibility to work different shifts
- Work OT as requested (
