Compensation:
Approximately $92,000 based on location and shift assignments.

Schedule:

Full‑time.

• Administers medication (oral, intramuscular, intravenous) and monitors patient medication compliance.
• Performs treatments and assists with nurse’s sick call.
• Assists with doctor’s sick call.
• Performs or assists with nursing management of chronic care clinics.
• Responds to emergencies providing emergency care and CPR.
• Performs subjective and objective assessment of patients.
• Collects vital signs and documents findings in a timely manner.
• Collects urine and other bodily fluid specimens.
• Prepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities, reviewing care and release summaries.
• Ensures discharge medication orders are completed and forwarded to pharmacy services.
• Participates in work‑related training and institutional training exercises.
• Provides assistance to other healthcare staff.
• Investigates and documents problem areas or concerns.
• Reviews shift reports from preceding shift(s).
• Assists physicians with medical procedures.
• Assumes duties of other nurses during absences.
• Provides counseling and education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
• Provides training and direction to new nurses, agency nurses, licensed practical nurses, and/or hospital aides.
• Serves as a resource person for other healthcare and security staff regarding healthcare matters.
• Provides orientation and training for new healthcare personnel as directed by the Nursing Supervisor.
• Serves as the lead clinical authority on site in the absence of the HCA, QIC, medical director and/or advanced provider staff.
• Participates in group programming.
• Participates in health and wellness initiatives.
• Performs administrative duties as indicated.
• Attends and schedules multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Assumes shift‑charge duties as assigned by the HCA, making shift work assignments and adjustments as necessary.
• Performs inventory and ordering of medical supplies.
• Assists ancillary staff as needed to ensure patient care needs are met.

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio issued by the Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge and experience in Nursing, Urgent and Emergency Care, Basic Medical Procedures, Medical Charting, Direct Support/Direct Care.
• Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Teamwork, Cultural Awareness.
• Ohio has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact, allowing practice across state lines in compact states.
