Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General)

Administers nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor. Duties include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, reinserting gastrostomy tubes, suctioning, irrigating wounds, giving enemas, and collecting specimens. Provides general nursing, direct care, and programming assistance. Takes patient vital signs and assists with personal grooming, bathing, and other daily living activities.

Documents and reports patient conditions including medication reactions and treatment responses. Maintains medication accountability records and prepares related reports. Orders medications and medical supplies. Cleans and restocks the medication room and performs clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing. Participates in various meetings and conferences as assigned. Provides assistance to lower-level direct care staff in providing general unskilled nursing care.

Must be available any day of the week. Must be flexible as hours and shifts can change due to the needs of the facility. Must be available on Saturdays and Sundays.
