Salary Range: $21.00–$22.00 per hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM
Job SummaryMS Companies is seeking a hands-on Quality Team Lead to support quality inspection operations in a manufacturing environment. This person will work alongside the inspection team, coordinate daily assignments, assist with training, monitor quality results, and serve as a point of contact for employees and the customer during the shift.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment
- Quality inspection, containment, sorting, rework, or production experience
- Ability to understand work instructions, inspection criteria, safety procedures, and customer requirements
- Experience training, coaching, and supporting employees
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with quality systems, reporting tools, and process improvement
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
Skills & Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience assigning work and coordinating shift activities
- Experience completing production, quality, attendance, or timekeeping records
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar digital reporting system
- Customer-facing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Work alongside quality inspectors and lead by example
- Organize daily assignments and communicate team priorities
- Review work instructions and confirm inspections are completed correctly
- Train employees, answer process questions, and provide coaching
- Monitor inspection results and communicate quality concerns or trends
- Perform inspections, sorting, containment, or rework when needed
Maintain accurate time, attendance, production, and quality records - Document and escalation attendance, performance, safety, or behavioural concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate with customer contacts to support service expectations
- Ability to visually identify defects in the color, shape, size, or texture of parts
- Ability to hear and recognize sounds in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit on concrete floors for up to 10–12 hours
- Ability to use stairs and perform reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movements
- Ability to complete fine-motor tasks requiring hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work around noise and varying temperatures
