Quality Team Lead

Salary Range: $21.00–$22.00 per hour depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 2nd Shift, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM

MS Companies is seeking a hands-on Quality Team Lead to support quality inspection operations in a manufacturing environment. This person will work alongside the inspection team, coordinate daily assignments, assist with training, monitor quality results, and serve as a point of contact for employees and the customer during the shift.

• 2–3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment
• Quality inspection, containment, sorting, rework, or production experience
• Ability to understand work instructions, inspection criteria, safety procedures, and customer requirements
• Experience training, coaching, and supporting employees
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with quality systems, reporting tools, and process improvement
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Authorized to work in the United States

• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Experience assigning work and coordinating shift activities
• Experience completing production, quality, attendance, or timekeeping records
• Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar digital reporting system
• Customer-facing experience in a manufacturing environment

• Work alongside quality inspectors and lead by example
• Organize daily assignments and communicate team priorities
• Review work instructions and confirm inspections are completed correctly
• Train employees, answer process questions, and provide coaching
• Monitor inspection results and communicate quality concerns or trends
• Perform inspections, sorting, containment, or rework when needed
  
  Maintain accurate time, attendance, production, and quality records
• Document and escalation attendance, performance, safety, or behavioural concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate with customer contacts to support service expectations

• Ability to visually identify defects in the color, shape, size, or texture of parts
• Ability to hear and recognize sounds in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit on concrete floors for up to 10–12 hours
• Ability to use stairs and perform reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movements
• Ability to complete fine-motor tasks requiring hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work around noise and varying temperatures
