Sr. Analyst, Regulatory Toxicologist & Product Stewardship

This hybrid position is located in Marysville, Ohio. The successful candidate will provide chemical toxicology assessments and guidance to ensure the safety and compliance of products with North American regulatory requirements and the corporate chemical sustainability program. The role involves interpreting complex toxicology data, identifying safer alternatives, developing strategies to reduce hazardous substances, and preparing regulatory submissions. The analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive toxicological risk assessments for raw materials and products using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico modeling to meet North American safety standards (e.g., CPSC, EPA, PMRA).
  • Stay current on global toxicological regulations and scientific advancements; develop and deliver training on sustainable chemical management for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide expert toxicological guidance to R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory affairs teams and collaborate on safety initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage a chemical sustainability program by identifying safer alternative materials and developing strategies to reduce or eliminate hazardous substances.
  • Develop and execute product safety testing strategies to support North American labeling and hazard communication standards; prepare scientific toxicological dossiers for regulatory submission.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or Environmental Health.
  • Desired:
    Board Certification in Toxicology (DABT) or ability to sit for the exam within 5 years.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulatory toxicology, risk assessment, or green chemistry within a chemical or consumer products company.
  • Desired:
    Demonstrated success managing raw materials and product sustainability programs; experience in chemical manufacturing or consumer goods.
  • Ability to interpret complex scientific data and toxicology studies.
  • In‑depth knowledge of North American hazard communication (GHS, CPSC, EPA, OSHA, PMRA) and green chemistry principles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to present complex scientific information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency with relevant toxicology databases and software.
  • Knowledge of life‑cycle assessment (LCA) principles and methodologies for assessing chemical alternatives.
