Data Center Security Specialist, CMH-Plain City Security

Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and other service capabilities. Our customers trust us to handle their data with air‑tight security measures, which we guarantee. AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team and help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

• Manage physical security operations, including development of post orders and security procedures.
• Handle site incidents, work with security equipment, and participate in construction projects.
• Drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities and manage vendors.
• Ensure consistent deployment of security policies and procedures and participate in recurring site audits, reviews, and testing of new security technologies.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

A typical day starts with a comprehensive review of security incidents or operational issues, followed by security system checks, access‑control testing, camera verification, and alarm panel status checks. The DSMS collaborates with the DC Operations team on maintenance activities, reviews vendor access requests, and addresses emerging security concerns. They conduct facility walkthroughs, inspect perimeter security, and document vulnerabilities. They manage security tickets, process badge requests, coordinate vendor escorts, and handle system maintenance.

Vendor management, guard force operations oversight, and post inspections are part of their role. The specialist participates in team meetings to review metrics, discuss process improvements, and coordinate projects. Administrative duties include updating procedures, completing reports, reviewing footage, and documenting incidents. Throughout the shift the DSMS remains responsive to security incidents, maintains vigilance over the facility’s security posture, and maintains effective communication.

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• 6+ months of experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of law‑enforcement or security‑related experience.

The base salary range for this position is $28.00 to $50.00 per hour in USA, OH, MARYSVILLE.
