The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Part‑time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year‑round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

Job Description
Basic Function- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for BIOLOGY, ECOLOGY, ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY or MICROBIOLOGY courses up to 10 hours/week;
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees if desired.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in biological science OR
- Bachelor’s in any biological science AND Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics or marine science OR
- the equivalent
- Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Biology to community college students.
Range/Step Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience).
Salary Range Benefits InformationPART - TIME (less than .60 FTE):
Part‑time positions less than .60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
