BASIC FUNCTION- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for Agriculture/ Environmental Horticulture courses up to 6 – 10 hours/week;
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications- Master’s in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science)
Step 1 - Step 7 (Based on degree and teaching experience)
Salary Range$50.71 - $81.09/Lecture Rate Per Hour
