The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

- Education Code §87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he/she/they is free of active tuberculosis.
- As a condition of employment, the position you are applying for will require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fees charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for the fingerprint report is the employee’s responsibility.
- Fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the employee’s first day on the job.

Job DescriptionYuba College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates to fill part-time faculty (Adjunct) teaching positions. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college.
BASIC FUNCTION- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for EMT courses up to 10 hours/week.
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester.
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.
- Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly.
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
QUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications at least one of the disciplines below. Please review the Minimum Qualifications Handbook to view the required qualifications to teach a specific discipline.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Any Bachelor’s or higher AND two years of experience in emergency medical technology and any certificates or license required to do that work.
- OR any Associate’s degree AND any six years of experience in emergency medical technology AND any certificate or license required to do that work.
