The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Part‑time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year‑round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years.

Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

• FOREIGN TRANSCRIPTS: Include a U.S. evaluation and translation. Click HERE for a list of acceptable agencies providing foreign transcript services.
• The District retains the right to extend time limits or initiate the recruitment/selection process anew at any stage.
• Education Code §87408.6 requires that the applicant have submitted to a tuberculin skin test within the past sixty (60) days.
• As a condition of employment, applicants must provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fees charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for the fingerprint report are the employee’s responsibility.
• Fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the employee’s first day on the job.

Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION :

• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Physical Education courses up to 9 hours/week.

REQUIRED DUTIES :

• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

QUALIFICATIONS : The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:

• Master’s in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education OR
• Bachelor’s in any of the above AND
• Master’s in any life science, dance, physiology health education, recreation administration or physical therapy.
