Let’s build the future together.

About the Role

We need rockstar manufacturing engineers who will turn good design concepts into great hardware. This role requires experience in manufacturing of metallic structures and mechanisms, avionics and harnessing, and propulsion and fluid systems.

Responsibilities
  • Author, select, and refine manufacturing methodologies, techniques, and flows to reduce cost and complexity, and increase reliability.
  • Generate and execute plans to validate new manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Drive designs for manufacturability, safety, cost, and operability.
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of quality issues and their root causes.
  • Implement processes and controls to ensure mission success.
  • Identify and execute equipment, machine, tooling, and factory floor layout upgrades to meet production demands.
  • Review piece‑part and assembly drawings and conduct DFM analyses.
  • Provide guidance to the manufacturing team in a coaching capacity.
About You

You’re a successful candidate if you have a wide variety of experiences from piece‑part manufacturing to larger scale assemblies. You keep up with the state of the art and the tried‑and‑true methods of manufacturing. You are capable of both scrappy and refined/rigorous work when the situation calls for it, and you are willing to learn whatever you need to get the job done with limited guidance.

Required

Attributes
  • Demonstrated experience with complex projects with ownership from design to hardware manifestation.
  • Ability to apply a first‑principles approach to manufacturing engineering.
  • Firm understanding of what is required for a good mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid system design.
  • Experience with several aerospace manufacturing methods for mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid hardware.
  • Familiarity with CAD packages such as NX or similar.
  • Experience with engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
  • Willingness to work on civil, commercial, and defense‑related projects.
Bonus Points
  • A proven history of successful hardware in launch vehicles or space systems.
  • Experience with aerospace environmental testing such as structural, vibration, shock, thermal, and/or radiation testing.
  • First‑hand experience with nondestructive evaluation techniques.
  • Experience with design of experiments and process optimization.
  • Experience generating and executing work instructions, build procedures, and checkout procedures for flight‑critical parts.
  • Experience working with safety‑critical systems in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in projects that required you to pick up a wrench, operate a mill or other piece of manufacturing equipment.
