Title:

Personal Financial Counselor – Marysville, WA. Grade: 24.

• Provide personal financial counseling services to military service members and families at assigned installations.
• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling, briefings and presentations, and referrals to external resources.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling modalities (web‑based, secure online chat, video) when authorized by OSD FINRED.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision, sharing trend information.
• Participate in continuing education, quality improvement committees and other contract activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years experience or high school diploma plus 6 years experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish required if contract dictates.
• Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier2 security investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Holder of one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

• Salary range: $58,440 – $93,500 per year.
