Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service in-person by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with their account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. Tellers, through conversations with clients, listen to uncover financial needs and transition clients to a banker to have a deeper financial wellness conversation.

- Performs teller functions accurately in an in-person branch setting with efficiency and reliability.
- Identify and resolve client servicing issues; escalate as needed.
- Listen for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and transition clients to a Banker when appropriate.
- Assist clients in achieving their financial goals through financial wellness tools.
- Attend and participate in in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Follow compliance, audit and security procedures; balance cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
- Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties may change or be added at any time with or without notice.
- Comply with all Key Bank policies and procedures, acting professionally and ethically at all times and in the best interests of clients and the bank.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required)
- Experience in a client service role (required)
- Experience in cash handling (required)
- General understanding of PC with Windows-based applications and calculator (required)
- Notary License (preferred)
- Knowledge of client accounts and banking products; uses sound judgment with clients and transactions.
- Strong sales and service skills, presenting products and services while educating clients on accessing channels (ATM, Online and Telephone Banking).
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to manage and update client account information and ensure transaction accuracy and security.
- Educating clients on managing finances and promoting financial health, guiding them to resources or bank services.
- Accurate and secure processing of cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and end-of-shift balancing.
- Maintaining transaction accuracy and organized records.
- Identifying and resolving client servicing issues efficiently.
- Understanding and following banking regulations and security procedures.
- Identifying financial needs and promoting relevant banking products and services.
- Awareness of fraud prevention techniques.
- Collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth operations.

- Prolonged standing (5-8 hours per day); frequent use of hands; face-to-face and phone communication with clients; occasional bending and lifting; frequent forward reach; lifting 1-10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives. Benefits details are available to eligible employees.
