Overview

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in desktop support roles, providing technical assistance and support to users in a corporate environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring software and peripherals, and maintaining desktop systems to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems, including hardware and software problems, network connectivity, and printing issues.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade desktop software and operating systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying software updates, patches, and antivirus definitions.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory.
  • Train end-users on the proper use of hardware and software applications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of desktop support policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent are a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
