Opened in 1988, our Marysville location is the largest site of the Smith Gardens family consisting of 60 acres, with 500,000 square feet of greenhouse space. Marysville is the primary site for perennial production, but also grows mums, hanging baskets and annuals.

The Site Manager is responsible for the development of the leaders and processes at the Marysville Facility. Accountable for site strategy, best practices, P&L, and CI Initiatives. Success is measured through development and retention of the team, and improvement in operations and efficiency. Ability to work closely with the RB Site Manager through shared reporting and coordinated labor planning, flexing labor where needed while ensuring both sites are supported and successful.

Primary production lines are premium annuals, hanging baskets, ground cover and perennials. Direct reports include managers of, Production, Shipping, Maintenance, Planning and Head Grower. Shared reports in Human Resources and Inventory.

  • Leadership of Site Management team and activities.
  • Collaboration of strategic direction with department directors and COO.
  • Monitor daily operations.
  • Promotion of a team approach, assuring a great place to work.
  • Develop and train staff through coaching and performance management.
  • Operate with high integrity, adhering to company standards and values.
  • Promote a safe work environment, upholding company safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead and oversee systems implementation.
  • Collaborate with the site and corporate planning teams to create more efficient space planning.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years of progressive industry experience, 5 years managerial level preferred
  • Degree in Horticulture,related field,or equivalent experience
  • Experience in budgeting and cost analysis/control
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WAGE RANGE

$110,000 - $130,000 per year
