Finishing Department Position
A well-established production company in Marysville is hiring for their Finishing Department. No prior abrasives experience is required, if you're dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to learn, this could be a great fit.
This company produces high-quality grinding wheels and abrasive products used across multiple industries. They're known for hands-on training, supportive leadership, and long-term growth opportunities. You'll be joining a safety-focused manufacturing environment where teamwork, quality, and reliability are important.
In the Finishing Department, you'll inspect grinding wheels for quality, check gauge and thickness measurements, apply final finishes, and follow detailed production and safety procedures. This is a hands-on role in a dusty manufacturing environment that requires standing throughout the shift and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with overtime potential and opportunities for long-term growth.
Job Duties:- Inspect grinding wheels for quality, gauge, and thickness according to specifications
- Apply final finishes and complete final production steps before shipment
- Lift, move, and handle grinding wheels and materials throughout the shift
- Accurately document production and quality information
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow production processes, safety procedures, and support other manufacturing tasks as needed
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Requirements:- 6+ months of recent work experience in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a dusty manufacturing environment and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to inspect products for quality, measurements, and consistency
- Previous manufacturing, finishing, quality inspection, or machine operation experience is a plus (training provided)
