In the role of Lay Up & Press Operator you'll play a pivotal part on our Legacy Department team. Safran Cabin Materials located in Marysville, WA is recruiting for a:
Lay Up & Press Operator - 2nd Shift 1:00pm to 10:30pm Monday through Friday $20.00/hr plus $1.25/hr Shift Differential Job duties include but are not limited to:
Pull materials from cold storage, allowing them to acclimate per the specification. Cut materials to the correct size per the work order. Lay up the cut materials into a panel construction per the work order. Transfer the panel constructions into the platen press that has been adjusted to the correct temperature per the work order. Operate the press to perform the correct burp cycle for optimum removal of volatiles.
Remove the panel constructions from the platen press after they have cured for the specified time. Record press processing information on work order to maintain traceability of panels. Trim panels on CNC machine to work order specified dimensions. Palletize completed panels for shipping. Maintain storage conditions for temperature sensitive materials. Active participation in operational improvement activities. Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
Other task as needed and flexibility is key. Willing to work overtime as needed. This will include weekends.
