Retail Security Officer

Garda World Security Services U.S. is hiring a Retail Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets at client retail locations. In this field-based role, you will conduct visible patrols, monitor entrances and high-value areas, control access, and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies. You will document events, support loss prevention efforts, and work closely with store management while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned retail locations to deter theft, vandalism, and unsafe behavior
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-value areas to control access and ensure policy compliance
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating to law enforcement when required
• Conduct incident reporting, log activities, and preserve evidence as needed
• Perform customer-facing security duties with professional, courteous communication
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing, reporting, and documenting suspicious activity
• Enforce site-specific post orders, safety procedures, and company standards
• Collaborate with store management and Garda
• World supervisors on security priorities
• Participate in required training, drills, and certifications to maintain readiness
