Industrial Maintenance Electrician

This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step‑pay progression scale and typically starts at $34.95per hour, paid weekly. Pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

• Diagnose, repair, and install electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation.
• Configure, scale, and validate instrumentation using laptop computers, HART communicators, or other test equipment.
• Restore and modify Allen Bradley (Control Logix, Compact Logix, PLC‑5) PLC programs and verify correct software revisions/editions.
• Maintain PLC backup files using state‑of‑the‑art software and catalog them for support.
• Interpret electrical and electronic symbols and their functions in drawings and schematics.
• Read, interpret, and update Allen Bradley PLC ladder programs and connect laptop computers to PLC via network protocols (serial, DH485, DH+, E‑net, C‑net, D‑net, RS‑485, RS‑232, etc.).
• Read, interpret, and update electrical blueprints, schematics, and flow diagrams.
• Perform mechanical repairs and installations as needed and assist mechanics with fault isolation and repair.
• Maintain proper records and use CMMS to obtain spare parts, retrieve work orders, and generate new ones.
• Sign out spare parts and complete repair tags.
• Document maintenance activities, develop and execute job plans, and communicate troubleshooting procedures.
• Comply with housekeeping and safety rules.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in electronics or electrical maintenance preferred.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or electronics experience.
• Mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and devise innovative solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement focus with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Proven organizational skills; ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
• Ability to operate electrical, electronic, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Ability to climb up to 10 flights of stairs carrying tools.
• Personal computer skills; experience with SAP is a plus, but not required.
