Position Summary
This position is responsible for contacting and interviewing victims and witnesses under the direction of the City's Prosecutors; assisting in the preparation, organization and maintenance of related records and reports; assessing safety needs of victims and referring to appropriate community resources; educating victims about the criminal justice system and assisting them throughout the pending criminal case.
The nature of the work performed is highly confidential and follows established procedures and general directions; incumbents operate independently and apply established guidelines and alternatives to make routine judgments and decisions.

Experience:
- One year experience in area of domestic violence services, witness interviewing in a legal office, family law and guardianship, or related field.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

This position works in an office, and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
