Maryville Security Officer — Full Time, Night Shift, Pay:
Starting at $15.23 / hour.

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all persons, equipment, and property of Mosaic Life Care. This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

• Conduct patrols of the buildings and grounds, ensuring adequate access control and protection of caregivers and all Mosaic Life Care properties, and respond to armed threats, bringing a safe resolution to the threat or situation.
• Conduct inspections of the facilities looking for unsafe acts and/or conditions, which threaten life safety.
• Operate in a stressful environment where persons have experienced life‑threatening injuries and death.
• Control persons exhibiting unacceptable behavior via non‑violent physical crisis intervention techniques (CPI) or the approved Force Continuum action, or other accepted practices depending on circumstances.
• Respond and investigate incidents in a timely manner and effectively document the facts of the case, take photos of the crime scene and secure any evidence.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED or HiSET equivalent required. Two years of college, preferably in criminal justice, fire safety, or post‑certified police academy preferred.
• Driver's license – minimum of a Class E chauffeur license. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and HAZMAT training required and must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Completion of the International Association of Hospital Safety and Security basic Security Officer Exam within 120 days preferred.
• At least 2 years in a position dealing with the public, preferably in law enforcement, fire safety, military security, or federal (DHS) required.
