Under supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat technical in nature, but involves limited responsibility for final decisions, some evaluation, originality, or ingenuity required. Knows and applies fundamental concepts and procedures, may check work or support or earlier levels of technical or staff workers.

• Must be fluent in Japanese & English.
• Liaison between Accounting Manager & Japanese Sr Manager(s).
• Effectively apply accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Responsible for the recording and reconciliation of daily banking transactions.
• Maintain effective internal controls within the department.
• Support duties related to accounts payable & accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with monthly inventory reconciliation.
• GL account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Compile and prepare routine reports & summaries.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures as assigned.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Handle email communications in a timely manner.
• Utilize technical skills to assist in department efficiency.
• Prepare post-closing reports and deliverables.
• Resolve problems & issues and implement methods for continuous improvement.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-6 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office:
  Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint;
  Required to use JD Edwards.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.

Pay $24.35 - $30.44/hr.
