Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a Billing Clerk to join a busy team in Tennessee. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping financial records accurate, managing billing activity, and supporting daily accounting operations in a fast-moving setting. The role offers the chance to contribute across billing, payment processing, and reporting while helping maintain organized and reliable financial data.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit claims with a high level of accuracy while meeting established timelines.

- Record journal entries and update accounting information to support routine financial activity.

- Process incoming and outgoing payments and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for each transaction.

- Monitor rent-related and other recurring payments to help ensure obligations are tracked and completed on schedule.

- Compile expense reports, verify supporting records, and reconcile differences when needed.

- Maintain billing and financial data within Excel and Quick Books Online to support accurate reporting.

- Review account activity for inconsistencies, investigate discrepancies, and assist with timely resolution.

- Provide general administrative and accounting support to help the team stay organized and meet deadlines. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, accounting support, or a similar position.

- Hands-on experience with claims processing, payment handling, and other billing-related tasks is preferred.

- Working knowledge of journal entries, expense reconciliation, and foundational accounting practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books Online is required.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work consistently.

- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, stay organized, and respond well to changing demands.

- Effective communication skills and sound judgment when identifying and resolving payment or billing issues.
