RELYANT Global, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join their Corporate Team in Maryville, TN. The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving the flow of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain. This role ensures that procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution activities are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities- Engage internal and external stakeholders to identify business needs and promote early procurement involvement
- Manage supply chain / ERP systems for procurement and inventory functions. Support field teams as an SME on system implementation and performance.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies and category management plans to improve cost, schedule, and supply chain performance
- Design, implement, and continuously improve procurement processes, policies, and best practices
- Vet, select, onboard, and manage vendors and suppliers in compliance with company, customer, and U.S. Government requirements
- Oversee supplier performance, quality, delivery, and corrective actions
- Conduct domestic and international sourcing
- Prepare procurement documentation and acquisition packages for materials, services, and subcontracted work
- Input, process, and manage purchase orders
- Track orders from request through delivery and verify receipt and condition of goods
- Coordinate logistics activities, including consolidation, repackaging, and shipment of materials using best-value carriers
- Monitor procurement schedules and provide regular status updates on progress, risks, and potential delays to stakeholders
- Analyze market conditions, supplier performance, and delivery trends to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities comply with corporate policies, contract requirements, and customer regulations
- Support contract and subcontract administration, including drafting correspondence and supporting documentation
- Integrate sourcing solutions, pricing data, and supplier inputs into proposal development and task order submissions
- Lead and coordinate procurement support for proposal efforts, including early-phase and task order responses
- Support teaming partners and respond to proposal-related data calls
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal functional teams on procurement and supply chain matters
- Develop and maintain expertise in client operational environments and regional and global supply chain requirements
- Support corporate estimating requirements to include performance as an estimator for Government service type contract proposals
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in supply chain, business, finance, contracts, accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of Gov Con ERP (e.g., Deltek Costpoint and/or Unanet) strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of FAR or DFAR and applicable DoD and DoS regulations
- Knowledge of CPSR requirements and government procurement best practices
- Ability to support operations both CONUS and OCONUS
- Experience administering procurement and approval workflows
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet highly time-sensitive deadlines
- Demonstrated drive for accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Exceptional written and analytical skills, including the ability to produce strategic and compliant documentation under tight deadlines
- Experience with contract negotiations, vendor pricing, and supplier performance management
- Knowledge of international logistics and Incoterms, including export documentation, bills of lading, palletization, hazardous materials declarations, and ITAR/EAR compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs occasionally, push/pull dollies, and navigate stairs or inclines with materials
