Immanuel Community School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Grammar School Teacher to inspire and educate our elementary students in a classical Christian environment. Located in Knoxville, TN, our school is committed to nurturing young minds, hearts, and souls through a holistic approach to learning. As a teacher, you'll deliver engaging instruction in core subjects including language arts, math, history, science, and introductory Latin, while guiding students through daily routines, procedures, and school activities.
We're looking for a mature Christian educator who excels in classroom management, fosters meaningful relationships, and creates a caring, structured space where children can thrive spiritually, emotionally, and academically.

Proven competency in teaching, with excellent classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the community. - Alignment

- Report to the Head of School and execute instructions and assignments to support school operations.
- Plan and deliver dynamic, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with state standards, school policies, and classical Christian principles.
- Track attendance, monitor student progress, and maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and feedback.
- Create an ordered, engaging classroom that promotes spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, participate in school events, and contribute to a vibrant community.
- Engage in professional development to refine teaching practices and stay current with educational best practices.
- Adhere to child protection policies, reporting any health or welfare concerns promptly.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and the community to foster a supportive learning ecosystem.
- Partner with parents to cultivate truth, beauty, wisdom, and faith in students—investing in their holistic development for lifelong flourishing.
