Job Summary

Project Engineer in the Operations Department reporting to the Project Manager. Non‑exempt role.

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with execution and management of project needs.
• Prepare and present computer‑generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.
• Generate, maintain, and facilitate project documentation throughout construction phases (e.g., RFI’s, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close‑out documents).
• Perform material take‑offs from drawings to support estimates and change orders.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all work.
• Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and locations; may need to commute to various job sites.
• Attend and conduct meetings as required.
• Comply with company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR at least 2 years’ industry experience through internships, co‑ops, or employment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability in using a variety of computer software.
• Engineer‑in‑training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience preferred but not required.

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several concrete variables.

Regularly sit; occasionally stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach, stir, stoop, kneel, or crouch. May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
