Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location: Maryville, TN
Job Type: Contract | Traveler Opportunity
Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry assignment. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring and step-down level care. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac monitoring experience and the ability to manage higher-acuity medical patients.
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee RN License Required
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current NIHSS Certification
- Minimum 1 Year of Recent MS/Tele Experience
- Minimum 1 Year of EPIC Experience Required
- First-Time Travelers Considered Based on Experience
- Experience with Adult and Geriatric Patient Populations
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely.
- Provide care for patients with medical, cardiac, respiratory, and renal conditions.
- Assist with post-heart catheterization patient care.
- Manage telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Float to similar units when required based on staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR.
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
