Registered Nurse - Cardiac Step Down Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Step Down Unit who is skilled in managing patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and those recovering from heart catheterization. You will provide essential care in a setting that includes telemetry monitoring without the use of ventilators or pressor support. Your expertise will be vital in administering cardiac drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol initiation.

• Monitor patients with elevated oxygen needs and other critical cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and drips as per protocols including heparin and amiodarone.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring for patients post-heart cath.
• Manage and maintain various patient care procedures as required.
• Float to other like units as needed, ensuring continuity of care.

• Active TN RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar clinical setting.
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience is required.
