Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - Medical Surgical

This position supports nursing education and clinical practice as part of a Nurse Residency Program, working under supervision to develop nursing skills, complete clinical competencies, and participate in professional development activities.

• Attend curriculum classes, workshops, and peer groups; complete clinical competencies.
• Assist in patient data collection, communication with RNs, and providing patient care under supervision.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, referrals, and discharge teaching.
• Document patient care accurately, recognize issues, and elevate concerns to RNs.
• Implement cost-effective and safe nursing practices, contribute to quality improvement, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Adhere to policies regarding licensure, infection control, confidentiality, and safety.

• Completion of an approved LPN program or recognized equivalency.
• Current LPN licensure in the practicing state; RN licensure accepted temporarily if obtained.
• Less than 12 months of LPN experience required.
• Strong understanding of patient care standards and ethical practices.
