Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Role Overview:

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Delivering direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegating tasks appropriately, and monitoring care quality.
• Ensuring patient safety by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe environment.
• Utilizing performance metrics for quality improvement, evaluating care effectiveness, and implementing improvements.
• Teaching patients and families, assessing learning needs, and providing culturally sensitive education.
• Maintaining professional licensure, completing mandatory education, and adhering to regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, SC DPH).
• Documenting accurately and advocating for patients as a care coordinator.

• Associate degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum of one year RN experience or completion of a recognized nurse residency program or LPN experience (for internal candidates).
• Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the practicing state.
• Strong clinical competency, communication, and collaboration skills.

The role may require weekend, holiday, and on-call work, with responsibilities including compliance, safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
