Nurse LPN​/LVN 7P-7A Weeknights, No Weekends

Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support the care of our residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings at Covenant Living. The LPN/LVN will monitor staff performance, coordinate with physicians, participate in care planning, and provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants to ensure high standards of care.
• Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants and reinforce training standards.
• Provide explanations of nursing procedures and assistance to staff for ongoing training.
• Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing about observations, potential problem areas, resident and employee activities, and concerns.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
• Notify physicians and family members as required by protocol when indicated.
• Provide direct patient care, including catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso‑gastric tubes and other treatments.
• Participate in shift‑to‑shift reports to ensure proper hand‑off of resident information.
• Assist in admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, and ensure physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are documented and communicated.

• Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
• Current LPN/LVN license in good standing in the State.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.

Pay range: $29.13 – $40.52 per hour.
