Role Overview:
Provides clinical leadership and direction in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care. Demonstrates clinical competence using evidence-based practices across assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including TJC, CMS, and state requirements. Assesses patient needs, develops personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team, and updates plans as needed.
Delivers direct patient care, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality. Promotes safety, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and educates patients and families. Maintains professional licensure, adheres to policies, and advocates for patients. Performs related duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) or nursing diploma with RN licensure
- One year of RN experience or completion of a residency program or equivalent practical experience
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or applicable state licensure
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Excellent communication, assessment, and collaborative skills
- Provides patient care within the Nurse Practice Act scope
- Works night shifts, may include weekend, holiday, and on-call duties
- Non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager
- Performs documentation, advocacy, education, and care coordination
