Registered Nurse (RN) - Resident, Emergency Department

Summary:

Responsible for completing all required training, clinical competencies, and validation in a Nurse Residency Program, while actively participating in professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret patient data, perform nursing assessments, and develop individualized care plans with multidisciplinary input.
• Administer treatments, provide patient education, and act as an advocate, ensuring care standards and ethical practices.
• Document patient care accurately, recognize and respond to emergencies, and delegate tasks appropriately under supervision.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, monitor safety, and adjust staffing based on patient needs.
• Perform clinical skills under supervision and support organizational policies related to patient care and confidentiality.

• Associate degree in Nursing;
  Bachelor’s preferred.
• No prior experience required, but candidates with over 12 months are ineligible.
• Current RN license or provisional license/Graduate Nurse status with NCLEX scheduled.
• Must hold a multistate RN license recognized by NCSBN.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and adherence to policies.
