Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12 Hours)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 18:45 - 07:15, working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend coverage required.

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, primarily on an inpatient unit that specializes in stroke and TIA patients, as well as higher acuity med-surg patients. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing patient experience while ensuring safe and effective care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various diagnoses, including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Chest Pain, and more.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, involving rapid response when necessary.
• Conduct and document patient assessments accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in education and support of patients and their families regarding health management.
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs and competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active TN Registered Nurse license.
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar unit.
• EPIC charting experience for a minimum of 1 year is required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Prior charge experience preferred.
