Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Maryville, TN

Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, including patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization diagnoses
• Manage and monitor telemetry and step-down patients transitioning from ICU (no ventilator or pressor support required)
• Administer and monitor drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis, with flexibility based on unit need
• Float to other like units within the facility as required based on census needs, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and testing within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

• Active Tennessee RN license
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent hands-on experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR

• Experience caring for step-down or intermediate care patients
• Familiarity with cardiac drip management and telemetry monitoring
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers considered based on experience)

• Contract length options of 13 or 26 weeks provide flexibility for your travel career
• Reimbursement available for pre-assignment module completion (up to 16 hours)
