Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse Opportunity

$1836.00/week

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a 13 to 26-week assignment in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit. The role involves providing patient care during night shifts, with rotating to similar units as needed to ensure optimal staffing.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex diagnoses including higher oxygen demands, dialysis, afib, and post-heart cath recovery.
• Administer and monitor medications, including drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, sotolol, and initial telemetry setup.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
• Document patient care accurately within the EPIC EMR system, demonstrating at least 1 year of recent EPIC experience.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care and compliance with hospital protocols.
• Maintain required certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS) and adhere to hospital policies on floating and unit coverage.

Qualifications:

• Current valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent hospital experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Hold active ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and Tennessee RN license.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 3x12 schedule, with flexibility for floating as needed.
• Meet travel compliance requirements, including social security verification and orientation attendance.
• Must reside within 100 miles of Prisma Health facilities or meet local/exception criteria.
