Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. Monitors patient conditions, administers medications, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and document findings accurately in the EMR.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac telemetry, and respond to changes or emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare staff to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation and workflows.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond to clinical emergencies.
• Ability to float to different units within Prisma Health as needed.
