Registered Nurse; RN; Nurse Residency, Neuroscience Med-Surg

Role Overview:

This position involves participating in a Nurse Residency Program, including completing curriculum, clinical competencies, and professional development activities.

• Attend and actively participate in training, workshops, and peer groups.
• Assist in managing clinical situations under supervision, adhering to policies on licensure, patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration.
• Gather patient data, perform assessments, identify problems, and develop care plans involving patients and families.
• Provide treatments, explain procedures, and educate patients on discharge instructions.
• Record patient information accurately, monitor for issues, and implement nursing measures under supervision.
• Delegate care appropriately, participate in quality improvement, and adjust staffing based on patient needs.
• Perform clinical skills in collaboration with licensed RNs and handle additional duties as assigned.

• Associate degree in Nursing;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; candidates with over 12 months are ineligible.
• Valid RN license in South Carolina and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of patient treatment, critical thinking, and adherence to safety standards.

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, with variable work shifts. The role aims to develop nursing skills within a clinical environment, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with organizational policies.
