Licensed Practical Nurse Resident

Prisma Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse Resident to provide safe, compassionate care while developing clinical skills in a structured residency program. Under RN and physician supervision, you'll perform direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support treatments across inpatient and/or outpatient settings. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document accurately in the EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-appropriate patient care under RN and physician supervision
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and scope of practice
• Monitor, record, and report vital signs and patient status changes
• Assist with procedures, tests, and specimen collection
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and self-care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards
• Participate in residency education, skills training, and precepted shifts
• Support a compassionate, patient-centered and culturally sensitive environment
