Role Overview
The registered nurse provides
- assessing patient conditions, developing and updating individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Delivering direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegating tasks appropriately, and monitoring care quality.
- Promoting patient safety, adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS).
- Supporting discharge planning, patient education, and evaluating care outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Documenting effectively, advocating for patients, and participating in performance improvement activities.
- Maintaining professional licensure and engaging in ongoing education to ensure competency.
The registered nurse provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting
, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices. Responsibilities include
- assessing patient conditions, developing and updating individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Delivering direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegating tasks appropriately, and monitoring care quality.
- Promoting patient safety, adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS).
- Supporting discharge planning, patient education, and evaluating care outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Documenting effectively, advocating for patients, and participating in performance improvement activities.
- Maintaining professional licensure and engaging in ongoing education to ensure competency.
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred);
- one year of RN experience or completion of a nurse residency program.
- Current RN license recognized in the practice state.
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and adapt to variable shifts.
This role involves providing compassionate patient care, adhering to policies, and supporting quality improvement initiatives, all within a non-management capacity. The setting may require work on weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
