Leads exercise classes for various fitness levels, providing a safe, fun and effective class structure in a professional, friendly and motivating manner. Supports and promotes the wellness center both internally and externally.

• All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose:

• Conducts group exercise classes: follows industry guidelines and standards on safe, approved exercises; modifies classes based on skill level and health status; motivates and encourages at all classes; promotes the philosophy of cross training and encourages members to explore all types of classes offered at the wellness center; attempts to know members by name and takes a professional interest in their health goals;
  
  arrives 10 minutes early and stays 10 minutes after class.
• Handles inquiries regarding the exercise classes, presents professionalism, assists in program marketing and promotes a clean environment.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Prisma Health mission to ensure high quality service: maintains confidentiality of member information, facilitates, initiates and implements change; works as a positive team member with members and staff to help resolve problems; conforms to legal and ethical requirements and supports Prisma Health safety and health policies.
• Enhances professional growth and development: maintains current certifications; stays current on industry advances through professional applications and ongoing literature and in‑services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This is a non‑management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

• Education - High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience - One (1) year of experience in a similar setting preferred.

• NA

• Nationally recognized exercise or fitness related certification preferred.
• CPR/AED

• Ability to teach a variety of class types and fitness levels.
