Duties
:
Dentist will provide diagnosis and treatment, with an emphasis on oral surgery, restorative dentistry and removable prosthesis.

• Make visual examinations of patients' teeth and perform sound oral diagnostic procedures, entering findings on dental chart and in the patient's medical record.
• Determine and implement effective plan of treatment.
• Locate and restore carious lesions in teeth.
• Extract impacted, infected/diseased or problematic teeth.
• Perform root canal treatment.
• Make impressions and models of the teeth, jaws and mouth for removable and fixed prosthetic treatment.
• Treat diseases of the teeth, gums and mouth with appropriate drugs or surgery.
• Advise patients about appropriate dental health practices.
• Manage the work of dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental laboratory technicians.
• Consult with heads of other patient services in planning dental treatment for coordination of patient care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dental Director.

• D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an approved dental school.
• Current license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Two years of related experience, preferably in a Community Health Center or Public Health Dentistry (new graduates welcome).
• Excellent post-doctoral opportunity in a state-of-the-art facility.
