As a teacher in the district, you will provide rigorous instruction to a diverse student population, align instruction with district and state standards, assess learning, and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all students, including English learners and students with disabilities.

• Plan a program of study to meet students' academic, social, and emotional developmental needs.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Promote and appreciate diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including implementing strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second language learners.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate objectives to students.
• Utilize innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including effective use of technologies to increase student learning and confidence.
• Provide counseling to colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
• Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.
• Assist the administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct, and develop reasonable classroom rules to maintain order.
• Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aides and/or volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on staff and school committees; maintain professional competence through participation in professional growth activities.

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• DESE Certification in the content area.
• SEI Endorsement.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with elementary learning principles.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Completed Cori and fingerprint clearance.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Principal/Administrator

Length of Position: 184 days, school year (Unit A Contract)

Location: Mashpee Middle High School

Salary: Commensurate with experience (approx. $61,172 to $113,750 per year).
