THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN, Position Description Number PDT
6374000 and is part of the MA ANG 102nd IW, National Guard. This is a Non-Bargaining Unit position. Selected applicant MAY BE eligible for a recruitment incentive not to exceed (25%) of the annual rate of basic pay.
Nationwide - Open to all US Citizens
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE- Must have at least 18 months specialized experience or training that demonstrates a knowledge of electrical theory such as power factors and that which is applicable to transformers, series and parallel circuits, line loading, line losses, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Experience in installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying high-voltage electrical systems and major substation components of electrical systems.
- Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedy when complex relationships exist among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems.
- Experience in making high-voltage electrical repairs that required the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools.
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of months/years.
